    Steady State Training or Moderate Intensity Continuous Training (MICT)

    Given the benefits of interval training, it would be easy to ignore steady state training, however, this shouldn’t be the case. 20-40 minutes of low intensity steady state exercise such as a walk or light bike ride still has its benefits and is a great thing to do any day of the week, especially on a recovery day. Once you reach a reasonable level of fitness however, higher intensity exercise is required to improve aerobic capacity or VO2max further.
